During the ‘hot’ summer months, more or less….during the continuous hot days, the side effect to me is a loss of appetite. To help the appetite, ‘curry’ is one of the common menu which appears on our dinner table.
Once in a while, the CARROT CAKE returns to our house. 時々、、忘れたさられてしまう「キャロットケーキ」。
At the midst of summer vacation for children’s lunch. Perhaps this may be a colorful and appealing lunch for small gatherings at home. I’ve done this colorful lunch sandwich a few times with a few of my incidental gatherings.
Spring brings back a lot of rain to prepare the plants for the coming new season. It is also gives me some inspiration, especially ‘time’ on a rainy day to bake an assortment of breads which I keep stored in the freezer, variety of breakfast breads for each morning enjoyment.
This is a very tasty vegetable dish which I learned from a private restaurant owner/chef (my husband’s friend) . It is essentially just ‘vegetables done in extreme high (steam) heat’; the soup was unbelievably tasty and sweet but to learn that it was from all the vegetables when treated quick in high (steam) heat.
I think….’Men just love potato salad’. At least most Japanese men whom I’ve come across love potato salad and if they are honest enough, macaroni salad too.
